The mysterious duo who go by the moniker ilo ilo debuts their first single titled "wait".
A glitch-hop type track that hits that an 18 wheeler truck. "wait" molds nostalgic musical elements with layers of intricate percussion and climactic moments for something mesmerizing. Fusing vintage instruments with big electronic production, the song swells with energy throughout. “I’m tired of waiting” is the melodic centerpiece that echoes throughout the song, tying it all together.
The duo popped up unexpectedly, first as direct support for Gramatik and then on C3 Present’s “All IN” showcase alongside Tinashe, Alina Baraz, A. Chal, and more. ilo ilo is scheduled to play Brownies and Lemonade Las Vegas and Electric Beach at EDC this week. Their individual identities are yet to be revealed.
