Fluencee strikes a potent emotional chord on "Burning Me" (feat. Bri Tolani)

DJ/producer Fluencee has fluttered his way into our hearts with uplifting future bass, trap, and future pop originals, and satisfying flips of the likes of ODESZA and Win and Woo.

The lead single off Fluencee's anticipated forthcoming debut EP entitled “Burning Me” is a markedly somber offering from the usually cheerful artist, wrought with weighty emotional subject matter. Fluencee once again links up with vocalist Bri Tolani (his collaborator on the viral hit "Better") to provide the perfect yearning vocals to match the biting sentiment. The songstress croons “how was I so blind to see, that you were always burning me?” with increasing immediacy, washed away by a layered synthy drop.

I’ll be keeping an eye out for the remainder of this EP, which feels like it has the potential to tell a powerful sonic story, if “Burning Me” is any indication of what’s to come.
