Coming to your eardrums all the way from East London is Jerome Thomas and his latest joint, “Stranger.” Produced by Warren Xclnce, “Stranger” is the perfect track to put you in the right mood as you walk your way into the weekend. Peep the silky R&B track below.
Over spacy productions that have a 90s feel to them, Thomas sings to an old friend who is now more stranger than anything else. While “Stranger” is a little on the short side, clocking in just under 3 minutes, it does a fantastic job of showcasing Thomas’ range. Throughout his verses, and especially on the chorus, Thomas will hit notes on either side of his vocal range, digging deep down low or scratching the ceiling of the higher register to provide depth and emphasis.
“Stranger” is Thomas’ first single of 2018 and his first new release since he debuted with his fantastic Conversations EP back in November of 2016. Hopefully, this is a sign that Mr. Thomas is back in the studio and we’ll soon have another new project on our hands. Until that time, enjoy the song above and be sure to keep it locked right here on EARMILK for all things Jerome Thomas.
