On his latest track, “Levels,” Brooklyn rhymer Tattoo Money pays tribute to his leading lady with the love song to end all love songs. Peep the track below.
The best things in life happen when you least expect, and if anyone believes that, it’s Tattoo Money. After doing a little Saturday morning swiping on tinder one fateful weekend, Tattoo stumbled upon one of those “too good to be true” matches. Now three years (and counting) since that day, and he and his lady are going strong.
As an ode to his girlfriend, Tattoo decided to pen the above track. "Levels" is a love song she can play whenever she wants to know just how much her man loves her. “She always asks me ‘how much do you love me?’ Not so much questioning it but just because she liked hearing it. I ran out of cool lines like “I love you as much as Rick Ross loves wing stop” & decided to write this song about her so whenever she needs to be reminded she can put it on.”
Aside from the fact that “Levels” is a sweet tribute, it’s also a great song. Tattoo employs a pulsing electronic, almost 8-bit, beat to provide the background and then fills the track with hilarious anecdotes about their relationship. Whether he’s opening up about his girl’s viewpoint on his fans, their sex life or their “worst case Walking Dead scenario,” Tattoo bears his soul for all to see.
