We've been following Luttrell's gradual ascent to deep house master. While the San Francisco beatmaker's organic, atmospheric productions have been some of the most consistently impressive we've ever heard, he just hit a new milestone. With the release of his latest EP, Intergalactic Plastic, out today via Anjunadeep, he's earned another accolade from frankly the tastemaker in the industry, Annie Mac. While the EP boasts three stellar tracks, it's the title track that earned the "Hottest Record" title this week. Following "Intergalactic Plastic" is "What You Are," featuring a hypnotic vocal sample that when paired with keyboard and bell-like synths open up quite the landscape. There's some grittiness to it at its core, and the contrasting pieces are what make it great. "Wake Up Tomorrow" closes out the record, with more indeterminate vocals that border on the melancholy partnered with a single, playful hip hop sample. Check it out above.
