San Francisco-based emcee Gark Mavigan shares a heartfelt/nostalgic experience on his latest record titled "Picture Day". Gark delivers an emotionally driven outlook on life from a unique perspective as he raps "…can't afford the background but the camera man says don't stress/ Man its picture day you suppose to flex/ when you strike that pose, you better pose a threat...". He also takes some time out on the second verse to pay tribute to some of his friends who have passed on to the great beyond and talks about how they would want him to live life to the fullest.
He also recruits the aid of world-class violinist/cellist Joni Fuller and Detroit Children's Choir who chime in with their adorable vocals describing the various picture sizes/frames and everything relating to picture day. The fun record produced by Dr Dundiff exudes a very reflective vibe that everyone can definitely relate to and the picture day analogy really brings it home.
