It’s always hard to pin down the style of New York-based artist snny. Combining elements of dance, hip hop, R&B, and pop, snny truly creates an individual sound. Following up his stripped down R&B fusion piece inspired by Bob Dylan, snny’s new track switches up the vibes for a summery disco-tinged groove.
Collaborating with producer LEFTI on this one, “Let’s Not Pretend” has all the right warm weather synths and breezy atmosphere to send your heart sailing off into the sunset. snny describes the process:
“LEFTI is so amazing at capturing special moments with his production, as soon as he played that bass line it just all unraveled and progressed naturally.”
The track sets out to capture all the “sadboy” feels after snny’s summer love moved back to Paris. You can sense that longing and melancholy, but the music definitely sends loads of good vibes to keep spirits high. Enjoy “Let’s Not Pretend” out now via Glassnote Records.
