Shallou gives us hope in "Lie"

Shallou's first track of 2018 is about love that turns out to be built on a "Lie." The lyrics detail a realization of being stuck in a cycle where insincere words are used to hold captive a "heart on all these different chains." The upbeat melodies and carefree beat play foil to the heartbreak, conveying the hopeful feeling that accompanies the epiphany of realizing that although you've been lied to, you have the ability to leave the lies behind. In a way, the track mirrors the passing of winter into spring – moving on from the cold hard past to whatever lies ahead. It's a timely release for this time of year with winter on its way out and Valentine's day just two weeks away!
