A sonic storm has been brewing down under, and QUIX is ready to unleash the fury. The New Zealand bass boss has swiftly ascended to the forefront of the heavy scene in the past two years, and he just keeps getting better and better. The producer kicked off his North American STORM tour at Life In Color in Miami, and just blessed fans with its namesake track "STORM." First premiered in his massive Too Future Mix, "STORM" is a jaw-dropping display of production prowess. Opening with a riotous barrage of drums straight out of a metal track, "STORM" tricks the listener into thinking a screamer is about to go in. Instead we hear (presumably) QUIX on deep, guttural samples, with "storm" being the only recognizable word. The chorus hits with heavy, wobbly undulations, slowing the pace and giving way to a twinkly melodic interlude. QUIX's ability to so seamlessly veer a track into two hyper polarizing directions is what makes him truly unique.
