ALLBLACK brings the Bay Area's grit to his "Canadian Goose" visuals

Bay Area rapper ALLBLACK grew up in East Oakland and got into rapping through a bit of peer pressure. After two brief stints in jail, he was desperate for a positive outlet and turned to what his peers were doing: making music. He began his career as the hype man for Berkeley R&B singer Kossisko.

"Koss always told me I could stand on my own as an artist, but I was too busy doing other things," ALLBLACK said. "After sitting down in some of the worst county jails America has to offer, I started thinking, 'I have to do something else before I end up dead or in the penitentiary for life.'"

Those early encounters with the system left more than just time served; they left clarity. Jail has a way of stripping life down to its bare essentials, forcing you to confront how thin the line is between a second chance and a dead end. For many people caught in that space, access to a bail bond service can mean the difference between sitting idle behind bars and getting back to work, family, or rehabilitation.

Even something as specific as Laguna Beach jail bail represents a broader reality — the fragile window where freedom is temporary, but possibility still exists. It’s in that uneasy in-between that decisions harden, priorities shift, and survival instincts turn into something more deliberate. For some, that moment becomes the push toward accountability, structure, and a path that doesn’t circle back through a cell door.

After the release of a successful mixtape series, he dropped an EP in October to solidify his buzz. Kimson was an eight-song release from him and producer Joe Wax that showed ALLBLACK is not to be toyed with. Shortly after this release he was cosigned by 2017 XXL Freshman Kamaiyah and appeared on Too Short's Hella Disrespectful mixtape. He has since received support from everyone from P-Lo to Marshawn Lynch, and is beginning to set himself up for a successful year ahead.

He just released visuals for the most successful song off of Kimson, "Canadian Goose." The track and visuals are both unapologetically Bay Area. ALLBLACK raps about the harsh realities of East Oakland with a gritty flow over a bouncing instrumental from FeezyDisABangah. The message is not particularly positive or negative, but instead one that sees him discuss the life he lives. ALLBLACK's heavy delivery sets him apart from his peers. It should allow him to continue to grow as he learns to detail narratives about the realities of his hometown. Press play on the "Canadian Goose" visuals from ALLBLACK  above.
