Opvs is a young production duo making waves out of New York City. With their minimalistic yet bubbly take on electronic music, the NYU students have arrived on Lush Records with "Desensitize," a bouncy chill trap number featuring London's Ayelle on vocals.
Featuring playful arpeggios and crisp marimba samples, the track falls into the dance-pop lane a la Louis The Child and should perform very nicely on Spotify, where vocal-driven pop tunes shine. More sultry than saccharine, Ayelle's vocals work really well here, especially when they are chopped up in the drop in airy fashion.
