With the weather turning colder and colder, sometimes the only thing you need to keep us warm is some feel-good house music, and today that is exactly what Brobot Records is giving us with the release of Dashcam’s two track EP Feel What I’m Feeling, with both tracks adding a new sense of depth and groove to the already established imprint.
Dashcam sets the tone of the title track, “Feel What I’m Feeling,” with a strong beat and classic house percussion. Soon enough high-pitched, distorted vocals grow in and lay the stage for the reverbed piano synths to pull the track together into an overwhelmingly feel-good easy listening experience. For the second track, “Back In The Day,” Dashcam ratchets up the intensity with a tech house beat and pressing percussion. Some nice, warm synth work stabilizes the track against the more restless components, resulting in another warm house number.
