As summer turns into fall, beach parties and park days turn into circus nights and haunted houses, and today, UK producer GAWP has come to get us into the fall mood with a special look at his new four-track Clownbite EP, out October 6th on This Ain’t Bristol. With GAWP’s own special brand of booty-shaking house and prominence on imprints such as DIRTYBIRD and Perfect Driver, it’s obvious he feels right at home on This Ain’t Bristol giving his own special take on haunted house music.
GAWP sets the tone of “Working Girls” and his haunted EP with a tense, distorted vocal loop while he builds the bass line groove from below that comes to define the track. GAWP’s clever use of vocal samples throughout the track cement the more sinister vibe of the track while its groove makes it undeniably danceable.
