Saint WKND reinvents Point Point's 'Hands' in glowing new remix

Parisian quartet Point Point unveils the official remix package for their electro-funk ballad "Hands." German producer Saint WKND delivers a standout edit, imparting a shimmering future bass energy on the heartfelt slow jam. The Generation Y producer layers the original's passionate vocals over choppy new production.

On his rework, Saint WKND highlights the track's impassioned vocal samples and maintains the original's R&B roots. The remix starts off with soulful percussion and delicate piano chords, progressing into a soaring electric guitar drop. Although the lyrics on "Hands" deal with heartbreak and nostalgia, Saint WKND's new cut is upbeat and energizing.

Saint WKND's edit is one of a sizable remix package including unique reworks from the likes of Samaran, I Salute, R.O, BLVTH. It follows a chart topping year for the producer, aka Maximilian Seethaler, who released his highly favored Golden Youth EP this past April. The five track project gained support from BBC Radio 1 and has amassed over 7 million spins to date.

On each of his releases, Saint WKND crafts lush soundscapes by drawing from a diverse range of instrumentation and blending a multitude of genres ranging from R&B to future bass. The artist's new remix follows his recent release "Survive," a collaboration with MAX (1/2 of Party Pupils). Where "Survive" is brooding with boisterous vocals and and booming bass, Saint WKND's new "Hands" rework has light and playful production.

The artist has recently played electrifying sets at Lollapalooza Berlin, Electric Forest, Elements Festival, Electric Zoo, Splash House and Firefly. 2017 is hardly over for Saint WKND – he's set to close the year supporting both Whethan and Hotel Garuda on select dates their respective tours.

Check out his newest remix above, out now via Ultra Music.
