To call DAP The Contract’s “Another Day, Another Night” a standout from his Two Roads EP would be misleading. The track isn’t bad, in fact, it’s incredible, but so is everything else on that tape. DAP is a small fish in a vast ocean of musicians, but there’s no doubt he will find success soon. His lyrics are on point, his cadence is elegant, his beats are funky, and he crushes any hook he hops on.
In his video for “Another Day, Another Night,” DAP shows he can do all of the above and more by helping produce, direct and film a visual that is both worthy of its song and intimate as hell.
Filmed with a home video style filter, “Another Day, Another Night” follows DAP and his lady on a handful of dates. The majority is shot in the first person, making the flick feel less like a music video, and more like a window into the artist's personal life. Not that there’s anything wrong with hiring actors for videos, but it’s nice to see DAP switching things up and keeping it real.
About the video, DAP says, "Another Day Another Night articulates the relationship between hate-love and love-hate. When you find your soulmate, or your soulmate finds you, is the time right? This is for the single-lovers and those who love being single."
