"Tell Me In The Morning" is a story you know. We all know that one person who cannot leave us alone, despite it being common knowledge things won't work out. Or perhaps we are that person and we can't help it.
The London four piece known as FOURS (of course) have come back from a successful bout of singles with yet another tune that oozes cool and screams relatability. Lead singer Edith Violet croons "I say, 'tell me in the morning', but you still won't be the one" over dreamy electronica, stark piano, and a persistent, nagging beat. Emotive lyrics put the finishing touches on this introspective single, and Violet's tense but effortless vocal is a beautiful contrast to the relaxed instrumentation. "Tell Me In The Morning" is a big departure from the band's usual upbeat, funky indie pop, but if this is the new direction for FOURS, I don't want them to put the brakes on.
