It's been a big year for GRiZ. The high energy, saxophone wielding funk artist is seemingly everywhere, from coming out as one of the first openly gay producers in his niche, to once again dominating the summer festival circuit, and most recently announcing new tour dates and dropping a remix album to his 2016 smash hit Good Will Prevail. One of the standout offerings comes courtesy of New York City funk phenom Jenaux. The artist's re imagination of "I Don't Mind" ft. Sunsquabi, Artifakts & iDa Hawk is funk on funk with a slight air of melodic/future influence. It's a treatment that both retains the integrity of the original but also gives the wonky wobbles a coat of sheen, creating a lounge-ready ambiance I can feel filling the halls of some of New York's storied haunts.
