Brooklyn based artist Joe Wood has released his smooth new pop and hip-hop tinted single "Rush" exclusively on our site today. Wood first received some notoriety when his first single reached a licensing company's randomized playlist, which went on to be featured on an episode of the Starz television show Power.
The producer is gearing up to release a series of hip-hop and pop singles and speaking on "Rush" says, "That song is about wanting to feel something genuine after going through waves of frustration and heartbreak."
His music can be described as a blend of rough-edged guitars, intense hip-hop beats and addictive pop hooks, but "Rush" is far smoother than most of his compositions. The synths soar on this one, guiding the track into a place that the listener can truly reflect on.
