After spending the end of last year on tour with electronic pop artist Autre Ne Veut, jazz musician Rachel Brotman is back to make her debut as Raia Was. Her first track “Reprise,” which came out a couple months back, shows off Brotman's soulful siren-like voice. As it flows atop organic electronic instrumentation, you can't help but follow to the finish. Before we dive any further into what will become the Raia Was debut full-length album, we have a little “Reprise” remix done by New York and Chicago based collective SurfsUp that's guaranteed to get you feeling the heat.

Amping up the swagger behind Brotman's sultry voice, SurfsUp brings more of a modern R&B flair to the track. They bump up the synths and percussion, giving the music a bit more of an edge. Packed with magnetic vibes, this steamy remix serves as the perfect track for just laying back, taking it easy, and riding along with that SurfsUp flow. Enjoy it here and look for Raia Was to release a full album before the year comes to a close. You can also catch her live in Brooklyn at Baby's All Right this Sunday, July 30th.
