Born in Poland and raised in Holland, Gia Koka is self-proclaimed 'rebel with a cause.' Growing up with a bit of a tough upbringing, she lost her younger brother in an accident, fought with depression and eating disorders throughout her teenage years, and through the process fell into music. As a singer, songwriter and producer Gia has found her free-willed approach to life, which shines brightly through her music.
Pulling from real and raw life experiences, her lyrical content is fully emotional with an edge. Today, we have the first listen to her new single "Oragami", set for release off a new EP to follow. When speaking on the single she shares, "Origami sounds like a sweet dream but in reality, it's a dark metaphor. There's this boundary you can cross when you're low. You surrender and watch yourself drift away".
