The 4th of July may be over, but Summer is just getting started, especially for those of us on the West Coast. Regardless of location though, Kavin Donnell has your back with a sunny dancehall jam in the form of “Sundress.”
“Sundress” is a fun track with a beat anyone can dance to, but it also showcases Kavin’s skills as a vocalist. Between the chorus and verses, Kavin has quite the range, and best of all he doesn’t rely on vocal productions to better his sound.
It’s no secret that tons of artists today are going the route of over producing their vocals to create new sounds. While some people can get away with it at times (looking at you Ye and Travis Scott), it’s used too often a crutch for a bad voice. Thankfully, Kavin doesn’t feel the need to do that on “Sundress, ” and thus the track is all the better for it.
You can give “Sundress” a spin above and be sure to keep your eyes and ears on EARMILK for more dope summer tunes.
