If you haven't heard the whimsical masterpiece "Onset" by Sinjin Hawke yet, it's definitely recommended you peep the original before immersing yourself in the new remix by KRANE and Alexander Lewis. The original track released off Sinjin Hawke's debut album First Opus is an unconventional banger, with cutting edge sound design and amplified horn synths to tickle your fancy. The theatrical nature of the original is breath-taking and envelopes listeners in an abstract construction of sounds.
Producers KRANE & Alexander Lewis have decided to take a stab at the track in their own rendition. The artists have slowed down the tempo with spiky percussions to add a more rhythmic beat. The clunkiness of the remix adds a frenetic dimension, yet still retains the original cinematic vibe. The track concludes with fiery guitar chords and an epic flow of bass, tying together a cohesive remix of "Onset".
"We were just listening to his new album, heard Onset, and realized we had to make a version of it. Random stroke of inspiration really… There’s always been this common practice of how remixers go about wanting to remix something- like its a measure of the original artist and their reputation, or how hyped up they are at the moment. I really just wanted to move away from that and hopefully do justice to something I found to be really special and different."

"I was blown away by Sinjin Hawke's use of Orchestral instruments in his latest project "First Opus", something that I've inherently done with my music and the use of trombone. Onset instantly impressed me and it felt natural that I should take a stab at putting my spin on an already amazing tune, also the thought of playing it out live really excited me."
