Flight Facilities make triumphant return with "Arty Boy," their first release since 2014

Veterans on the indie-electronica scene Flight Facilities are back with their first new music since 2014. Jimmy Lyell and Hugo Gruzman present "Arty Boy" featuring vocals from previous collaborator and soulful chanteuse Emma Louise. The Brisbane singer was featured on their last release, the duo's debut LP Down To Earth, in the melodic tune "Two Bodies."

It's no surprise that "Arty Boy" has already peaked at #1 on HypeMachine with its hypnotic vocals and smooth groove. But the Sydney duo has released more than just the new listening material; "Arty Boy" comes complete with artwork from Danish designer Christiane Spangsberg and a nostalgic music video. Made by German collective Jünglinge, the new visual tells an 80s themed tale with neon lights, body building and pool parties galore. Directed by Faraz Shariat, the video follows the story of Irani-German couple Shirin and Nazar, who own a vintage bath house and enjoy reminiscing about their friendship with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

In a recent interview with triple j, Flight Facilities revealed that they are currently considering "around 60" new songs for an impending project. While no concrete news has been released about a full length release, "Arty Boy" is a good sign of new music on the way. Listen to the new track and watch the video above.
