Melis is a new singer-songwriter whose songs will scorch your heartstrings and most likely leave you in a jumble of emotions. Her style is simple yet complex, melodramatic but not excessive. Her first single "Love Song Idea" was constructed out of the remnants of lost files, and became one of those instant blog darlings.
Melis' second single, titled "Flower" continues to impressively showcase both her affinity for interesting songwriting and emotive melody lines. It's the first single from her upcoming debut EP "Parallels" and is a special single because the "sentiment of the song is that going through sadness and being in a dark place isn’t forever. There is hope and better things, if only one doesn’t give up. This song is the encouragement for that."

Something intensely appealing about Melis is that her songs encompass a sparse cleanliness that's able to showcase good storytelling and a direct pathway to the tear ducts of your heart. Though "Flower" is only Melis' second song, there's no doubt she'll be gaining more traction soon. Her songs are just that addictive.
