Friday is evolving. Now, just like with certain other holidays, "Happy Friday" is greeted with gifts. Today, our gift is from CamelPhat and Elderbrook in the form of their collaboration entitled "Cola," due out via Defected Records. The track debuted as Danny Howard's "Hottest Record in the World" and we certainly agree: this one's fire.
It seems CamelPhat can do no wrong, especially with the addition of this track to their repertoire. The British duo formerly known as Whelan & Di Scala has thrived under their post-2008 deeper moniker, watching their tracks like "Siren Song" and "Paradigm" become solidified hits and Beatport #1's. "Cola" is, of course, a team's work alongside fellow Londoner Elderbrook. The guys have made an impressive track, one that fans have been seeking out as "Cola" revealed itself in live sets throughout 2017.
"Cola" is moody, groovy, infectious and entrancing. While we usually see the bigger underground beats from CamelPhat (take their last EP release), it's Elderbrook who brings his indie roots into this track making it the final beautiful project that it is.
