It's no surprise that a groundbreaking record like Kendrick Lamar's DAMN. is still causing shockwaves in the hip hop sphere, and today buzzing emcee/beatsmith Steve Spiffler is the latest to offer up a DAMN-good tribute to K Dot's classic jawn. Spiffler's new ditty is a clever reimagining of "YAH." that gives the track some fresh legs in the form of live keys and bangin' sax riffs from Gary Mendonca.

The Spiffler-ized version of "YAH." is a part of his ongoing "Soul Flip" series that picked up steam earlier this year after Chance The Rapper took notice on Twitter. Unlike the other Soul Flips, this track features live production, but the finished product is just as smooth and conducive to head-nodding.
After peeping the "YAH." Soul Flip, be sure to check out Spiffler's 10 Days Of Acid & Coloring Books and "Mask Off" redux. And someone please tell Geraldo this dude has some ambition!
