Demob Happy summons three puppets in their video for "Dead Dreamers" [Premiere]

Newcastle, England rockers Demob Happy have been recording since 2008, impressing critics with their balanced mix of alternative and indie rock, entwined with guitars any stoner rock band would approve of, yet tinted with a hint of the grand sound of stadium rock. Their latest single "Dead Dreamers" is a bouncy jam full of fuzz and thrusting, tight guitar work. The warm vocals by Matthew Marcantonio and fast-paced instrumental melody craft this to be one of the more addicting songs from Demob Happy's discography.

Demob Happy are currently working on their new record with producer Tom Dalgety (Ghost, Pixies, Royal Blood), following up their 2015 release Dream Soda. In the meantime, EARMILK scooped up the U.S. premiere of their visual for the album's lead single, "Dead Dreamers," up top. Watch as the band sees their puppet counterparts slowly transform into their living selves.

The band released a statement on the video for "Dead Dreamers":

It's the fruit of a long weekend and three spare puppets to mess with. We grew up watching Jim Henson films like Dark Crystal, that was our childhood, and it's the sort of idea you conjure up but never think you'll do. Then we ended up with these spare puppets and we couldn't afford actors so we got all our friends together and made it over a lost weekend. We just fucked around till we got something good.

Watch the video up top. If you're in the U.K., be sure to catch the band at one of their upcoming shows alongside The Cribs or Gang of Youths.
