If you're not already, I suggest you get familiar with LA native singer/songwriter Veronica Ramirez, aka tribes. The vocalist has been making quite a name for herself working with artists such as Pham, TastyTreat, and Luca Lush.

Today she follows up her recently released cover of Nine Inch Nails’ “Hand That Feeds" with the debut single off her collaborative Therapy EP alongside LA based producer Dead Robot. The dreamy, future pop original entitled "Lately" is full of lush synths, soft guitars and sultry vocals. Their upcoming EP is an emotional connection of hybrid genre-crossing tracks that flawlessly blend trap, indie pop, soul, and electronic dance music. Dead Robot's production on this one, reminiscent of Mura Masa, allows tribes. to really showcase her Billie Eilish style vocals. “Lately” is a culmination of the future-soul songstress’ talents as a vocal collaborator and is just the first to come off of the duo’s debut Therapy EP due out in a four part series over the next few months.

“This EP is super special to me. I hold every word that I wrote very close to my heart as it represents a time in my life where I thought I had lost everything and didn’t know if I was strong enough to pick up the pieces and move forward. I’ve always been terrible with communicating my emotions, but being able to write down what I’m feeling and sing about it in truth and then to have Chris (Dead Robot) turn it into something beautiful has really helped me move forward and heal. This EP is about the process of healing and honestly what I will always take with me is being able to do the one thing that I love the most in life which is to create music. Especially with my closest friends. It makes me happy at the end of the day to know that so much light came out of that darkness.” – tribes.
