Half a decade after the founding of the Swiss label Definition:Music, it has come to stand for versatility in music, a clear rejection of what label head Dimitri "Definition" Schnider calls the “superfluous borders in music” between genres, resulting in an uncompromising artistic openness to inspirations generating from seemingly incompatible corners of the musical world. For Definition himself, this manifested in a unique offering somewhere between house and techno, but decidedly not tech house, leaving an unmistakable fingerprint on the industry.
