Boasting a swanky name that sounds like something from Smokin’ Aces, LA-based electronic producer Diamond Pistols just uncorked his new single “Gold Rush.” Dripping with opulence, the track is out now for free download, and it will have you seeing dollar signs.

In a future bass genre that is rapidly becoming oversaturated, what sets “Gold Rush” apart is its beautiful breakdown, which is highlighted by a delicate acoustic guitar riff reminiscent of Grey’s remix of Zedd’s “Papercut.” The pop-tinged trap tune also features hypnotic arpeggios that interweave through canorous chord progressions before the drop, which is lush with the warm saws that have made future bass so popular in recent months. When asked about the song’s inspiration, Diamond Pistols had this to say:
“Gold Rush” is all about the combination of organic and synthetic. we wanted to combine elements of dance music with something on the opposite end of the spectrum, like jazzy guitar chords.”
