Virginia emcee sensation Sheik Kargbo recently dropped his new single "New Neighbors," along with some stellar cinematic visuals from director Aye Waiter, and it's undoubtedly one of the dopest records you'll hear all week. Kargbo, who also produced the track, is on top of his game here and the anticipation of his upcoming The Speakeasy Experience grows with every hard hitting, contemplative rhyme.
Peep out the ill video for "New Neighbors" below and get acquainted with this talented young fire spitter.
"New Neighbors" draws you in from the get-go with some striking work on the 1s and 2s; before he shreds the mic like a homicidal cheese grater, Kargbo's combination of entrancing melody and bangin' beats sets the scene. However, its his half-gritty, half-heartfelt flow that really takes this one to the moon. Kargbo begins the track with the expected bravado of an up-and-coming rhyme slinger but becomes more contemplative when the second verse hits. Overall, it's an incredible drop from an artist who deserves to shine amongst his other DMV counterparts.
