Toronto-based alt-pop band Romes has released a euphoric music video for their song "Someone," out today exclusively on Earmilk. The band has been described as being a combination of COIN, The 1975, The Strokes and a dose of LA girl group HAIM. "Someone" is off of the upcoming album.
The band is comprised of Jacob Alexander on vocals, Nicholas Amadeus on drums, Andrew Keyes on bass and James Tebbitt on guitar. The video itself, filmed on the edge of the harbor showcases what the band is about, as they always convey true emotion in their songs, which results in irresistible melodies for the listener.
In Alexander's own words, "'Someone' is about how anxiety triggers feelings of insecurity and cripples your ability to convey your emotions. It was written at a time when I felt lost and alone. I had a strong desire to be with someone but couldn't bring myself to express how I felt, knowing that if I did, it would be too late."
