Louie Newton & SHXNGO are two artists causing quite a stir at the moment, both collectively and individually. The pair, both good friends for a number of years, have been honing their craft, putting in the hours to set them aside from their peers. With the scene constantly growing and evolving, both artists have adapted to their surroundings and are ready to make a big splash in 2017.
The released their two-track EP Primal just before the weekend, and alongside that they also dropped a brand new video for the first single "A1". Filmed by Luis Cross, the video sees the pair mobbin' outside a shipping yard, having fun with it drenched in monochrome. The track itself is backed by a real head nodder of a beat, with crispy drums beneath an infectious synth pattern. The pair come through with some nice raps, exchanging verses before SHXNGO gives off some real Nate Dogg-style rap/singing vibes towards the end.
