The usually sunny and upbeat Aminé is doing things a little differently in his latest track “REDMERCEDES.” With a spaced out and alarming beat, “REDMERCEDES” is a victory lap of sorts for the Portland native, and a way to show off his latest purchase.

Though it is a bit of a departure from his last few tracks, it’s great to see Aminé flex his range. He’s not typically one to be overly braggadocios, but when putting on the persona, he makes it work. The nearly three-minute track is full to the brim with quick punch lines and clever one-liners like “Rolling deeper than Adele when we go out,” “This game will keep me hungry, like I'm Katniss Everdeen,” and “Mercedes same color as the head on the Lil Boat” (featuring a little cameo from Yachty himself).
Since blowing up last year with his hit “Caroline,” Aminé has been a busy guy. He’s been on tour, performed live on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and has released a couple of solid tracks. No word on any full-length projects in the works but hopefully we’ll get some news or a few more jams soon!
