It’s always wonderful seeing the beginnings of new labels. With its inception last year, Francesca Lombardo’s own Echoe Records offered up a commanding four releases. Echoe’s first release of 2017, out March 3rd exclusively on Beatport, is its first remix package with Cassy, Laura Jones, Jade, and La Fleur giving their own take on the label head’s own “Remembrance.”
La Fleur’s remix is certainly the most club motivated and acts as a great closer to the release. She sets the tone with some crisp, sharp percussion and the eerily atmospheric periphery of the original. Soon enough, La Fleur brings forth some hefty tech stabs that fill out the lower end while providing the perfect backdrop to overlay the melody of the original and let it shine.
