AMA Lou is as poignant as she is harmonic in her newest single, "Said It Already". The 18 year old has used her artistic platform to convey a charged statement since her debut single; in the political track "TBC," the North London born singer's alto mingles with ambient synths, tackling the solemn subject of Eric Garner's death.
Unlike her first release, Lou tackles a societal conundrum that "isn't heavily cast in seriousness" on her latest track. The lyrics explore the relationship between old and new generations, challenging the notion of an outdated normality. Her vocals are breathy, gliding atop a simple drum beat from UK producers Exmoor Emperor.
Lou is set to perform at Camden Assembly in London on February 15. Grab tickets here, so you can say you saw AMA Lou before she inevitably blew up.
