This Welsh gal called Violet Skies, who we've covered a couple times in recent years, has finally returned with some new music to greet listeners after almost a year and it's exciting to say the least.
Violet's new single "Island" comes ahead of her second EP release. Voice floating up and down the scales with graceful ease, Violet sings in stirring metaphors "Make me an island, give me your home /
Make me an island, cover my soul" that commands attention. Dynamic and emotional, "Island" is an electrifying pop song that will tug at the heartstrings of listeners both because of the powerful singer who leads the song and also its resonating messages that translate to finding peace and freedom from "the noise of other people and the noise inside your own head."

What makes a good indie pop song? Even if there's a formula, only a select few seem to really know what's up; that is, what is going to touch listeners and make them remember a song; I think Violet Skies has it figured out pretty well.
