Taking on the 2016, leading into 2017, hit “Light”, Grant succeeds in reworking the San Holo track into a remix that could rival the original. Released via bitbird, the producer adds in additional spoken vocals and wobbly synths.
Grant’s take opens with slow, pitched down original vocals switching rapidly into a quicker tempo and electro-trap sounds. The remix gets glitchier and more energetic as it progresses, which is almost enough to make your head spin. Grant brings it back to a slower pace to close out what could’ve been listener whiplash (in a good way).
