It is a shame to miss the 2016 release of Red Rack'em's "Wonky Bassline Disco Banger." The single's title almost entirely embodies the song's worth, what it doesn't encompass is the track's concentration in building something that's a little off-kilter, but interesting enough to be appealing instead of off-putting. That "wonky bassline" is harder than we might think to make unusual and lovable at the same time.
Well if you missed the release last year, the song has revisited us again this week through the release of a remix EP. Featuring KiNK and the fun-loving new collaboration between Eats Everything and Lord Leopard, known as Leapord Eats Luke, "Wonky Bassline Disco Banger" looks on to be more than just buzzwords that so often describe house tracks. The standout, from Leopard Eats Luke, transforms the track to underline the "disco" piece of it, with some groovy additions. Out via Classic Music Company, the remix EP is streaming just about everywhere.
