It's been quite a ride for Seeb. Perhaps best known for their chart-topping remix of Mike Posner's melancholy anthem "I Took a Pill in Ibiza," the Norwegian production trio recently released a scintillating 9-track remix package for their tropical ballad "What Do You Love." The bundle features edits from Hook N Sling, Jordan XL, Gramercy, Broiler, SWIING, Zac Samuel, Alex Ghenea, and SJUR, but it is Dutch duo Zonderling who rises above the pack to deliver a bright and bubbly house rendition that would make even the Grinch smile.
Taking the infectious vocal chops from the original, Zonderling brilliantly interweaves them with Jacob Banks' soulful croons throughout the build before unleashing a sparkling drop soaked with warm pads and arpeggiated synth-pop stabs. It's the kind of sound that compelled Zedd to commission them for an official remix of "Beautiful Now" from his hit record True Colors, and caught the attention of Don Diablo, who is releasing their forthcoming debut EP Cluster on his HEXAGON imprint. With so much industry support and a beautiful, unique sound, Zonderling looks like an early dark horse for 2017's biggest breakthrough artist.
