London-based singer and multi-instrumentalist, Sampha, brings all the feels again today with the release of his latest single "(No One Knows Me) Like The Piano." This track is generous in vulnerability as it acts as a fond memory captured in a sonic tale filled with honest vocals and a heart felt piano melody.
The track is a tribute to the piano that sat in Sampha's south London family home from the age of three – a piano on which he wrote much of his highly anticipated forthcoming debut album, Process. The subtle pauses laid expertly between the various piano melodies provides a keyhole that Sampha exposes through a sublime acapella. The gentle drum in the background maintains a very subtle progression that plays respectfully off the main duet between the piano and vocals.
Having already collaborated with the likes of FKA Twigs, SBTRKT, a guest appearance on Beyoncé's "Mine" and Drake's "The Motion" and "Too Much," Sampha is secretly (not-so-secretly) joining the list of new rising, highly sought after London producers alongside James Blake.
