Lxury and Drones Club have a strong message with new edit of "Chelsea Girl"

You might have first heard of Lxury when he dropped his banger single  "J.A.W.S" off the Disclosure backed label Method Records almost three years ago. He's been seemingly quiet over the past few months, except for an 'Around the World' mix released seven months back. The track "Chelsea Girl" which speaks to a darker subject, it's actually protest song for Chelsea Manning written by Drones Club. The band remarks, "As simply and directly as possible we want to draw attention to the plight of Chelsea Manning, the former US army solider who shed light on the darkness at the heart of western civilisation and made our world brighter. Now she is undergoing gender transformation in solitary confinement in a military prison. A heroine, a saint, branded a traitor and isolated from the world she helped." Despite the tragedy of the situation, for Drones Club the euphoric uplift of 'Chelsea Girl' signals "a song of joy, of light over darkness; a message across the sea letting the loneliest girl in the world know she is not and never will be alone."

While the message stems deep so does the new music which proceeds from PMR Records and Drones Club will go to the Chelsea Manning Support Network. So if this speaks to you in any way, give it a spin and show your support.
