Shiba San and ghetto house go hand in hand, with the artist seemingly representing the sound and vice versa. Fittingly enough, the same goes for Dirtybird Records – throw that label into the mix and you have another interchangeable term representing the fun, hip hop-influenced side of underground house. Three years ago, Shiba San made his debut on Dirtybird with a track that has been omnipresent since – "Okay" – including at this year's Burning Man. Now, he's back with an EP to close out 2016 with the beloved artist/label combo. Entitled Up & Down, the title track is one fans might recognize as they heard it teased throughout the summer. Sealing the deal for the Ep is "You Know What?" which maintains the unique sound and groove that all parties represent. The EP is streaming and available via Beatport.
