Stepa J. Groggs and Ritchie With A T play with lyrics while Parker Corey produces the music. These three artists from Arizona combine to make the dynamic hip hop trio known as Injury Reserve. In 2014 they debuted an EP titled Cooler Colors, and in 2015 released their first full length project, Live From The Dentist Office. With features from Chuck Inglish, Curtis Williams, GLASSPOPCORN, and Demi Hughes they kept their initial buzz and momentum going strong with this album. This momentum has the power to propel them to the top of the hip-hop world, and so far they show no signs of slowing down. Lately, the rap group has been hard at work. After dropping an insane single titled "Oh Shit!!!" 4 months ago and another energetic track called "All This Money" a month ago, they decided to team up with a young rap star for "Keep On Slippin".

How was this trio able to get Vic Mensa on a track? Easy, Injury Reserve has undeniable talent. Oh yeah, and the group has the same management as Vic. The Chicago emcee delivers a verse consistent with his usual style: something that packs a punch with an unquestionable theme. The theme of mental instability is constant throughout the chill, laid back track. Parker Corey's production on the song is noticeably more relaxed than many of his other beats, but it successfully helps convey the tone of the track. The track begins with a gentle voice singing the words "I been losing my mind… And then I keep on slippin" and is interrupted by a rap verse talking about lifestyle choices, reflecting on how they might not have been the best up to this point. A catchy, autotuned hook brings the meaningful track together nicely.

This is going to be another track off of their upcoming album titled Floss. This project is slated for a December 15th release and is sure to help garner even more attention for Injury Reserve. A video of Vic Mensa in the studio rapping his verse on "Keep On Slippin" was put on Twitter and you can watch it here:
