Indiana-based songwriter Kevin Krauter (of Hoops) has just released his sophomore EP entitled Changes, and is it ever beautifully subdued.
Released back on Dec 2/16 via Winspear & Warm Ratio, Changes is leaps and bounds from Hoops' guitar-pop playfulness. Instead, Krauter relishes in the opportunity to carve out his own sonic space in the form of melodious vocals and acoustic bedrock.
The EP is a simmering six-track manifestation of vulnerability which thrives in simplicity, cohesion, and Krauter's effortless ability to evoke themes of change and growth throughout.
Since Changes easily makes my personal top 10 releases of 2016, I ventured to ask Kevin what his top 10 list would look like. See his picks below, in no particular order.
