Fanny Andersen is not a name that anyone should be super familiar with yet, but that may change soon. The 21 year old Norwegian singer just released her new single this week, and by the way it sounds, it looks like she's going to be making some serious moves in 2017.
"Kids" is a refreshing pop single that years to return to the innocent days of being a kid. As Fanny puts it, "The song is about how life was so much better when we we’re kids, without the stress and responsibilities that comes with growing up. To think about how care free we were and how much fun everything was made me just want to write a song about it, because it’s kind of crazy how much things change!"
There's a wild note of emotion that tinges Fanny's vocals, which is why the track snags your attention in the first place; it seems almost out of the ordinary for a genre that focuses so much on carefully articulated vocals, engineered to sound perfect. And besides touching upon subject material that rarely makes an appearance in the love song and dance-themed indie-electro pop world, "Kids" is also set against electrifying production from duo Skinny Days. The track is a perfect blend of traditional electro-pop elements and a daring, raw sound to tease the ears.
