Aidan Carroll is a musician out of Brooklyn who remixed A Tribe Called Quest's classic joint, "1nce Again". Phife's birthday is Sunday, November 20th, so Aidan is here to pay homage to the late OG of hip-hop and vital member of ATCQ, Phife Dawg.

As we all know (and have been listening to for the past week nonstop), ATCQ released their latest album with features up the wazoo titled, We got it from Here. However, this remix takes us way back – from the Beats, Rhymes & Life album. I mean, personally, I think "1nce again" really encompasses the classic ATCQ sound. Tammy Lucas vocals on the chorus will always remind me "the hip-hop hook" and the rhyme schemes from all members of the Tribe are spit classic down to the core. Aidan has remixed the song to keep it OG with a twist of electronic/jazzy samples to make it his own. This neo-soul take on the classic is a tight ass tribute to Phife, I think he'd be honored to have this as a birthday present. You on point Tip? Yo once again, Phife.
