LA based, NINTH CHILD, recently dropped the first single off her forthcoming EP, Lovers, due out in January of next year. "Say What You Mean" is an exotic future beat track with a mystical vibe. Slow arpeggiating chords set the mood right off the bat and lead into a haunting vocal section. As the song builds with peculiar percussion and silky synths, one gets the feeling of falling into a purple haze. The introduction of hypnotic vocal chops and syncopated hats carry a creative groove through the drop as you fall into a state of trance. I love the worldly tone that she has been incorporating in to her music as well as the rich atmospheric sounds, effectively taking the listener to another place. It's nearly impossible not to fall victim to her captivating sound.
