Sydney based producer, Baytek, came onto my radar not too long ago with the release of a monster house tune called "Deadbeat." The song features a pitched down hip-hop vocal and deep bass-line which reminds me a lot of one my current favorite house producers, Malaa. There's no lack of low end in this one and the groove is on point. Needless to say, I was hooked right away.
Today I'm pleased to share his entire three track EP entitled 'Rise' courtesy of Unknown Records. The second song on the EP, "Change," actually does bring a nice change of pace with half-time drums and strong female vocals from ives. I really enjoy the chill vibes of this one before he takes us back to the bass house. The Australian young gun round rounds out the EP with "FWYT," another killer house tune with a dark, stabby bass-line and a hip-hop vocal similar to "Deadbeat." The driving four to the floor drum pattern in combination with his massive bassline is sure to get you moving.
An exceptional new EP from a kid with some serious talent. Stream the tracks below and if you like what you hear you can go ahead and purchase them from the music store of your choosing.
