Shango (formally known as Shango!ZeroPoint) is a LA-based rapper who quietly released an understated project entitled Love Hotel earlier in the year with the rest of Strange Friends collective, and it has proven to be his most cohesive & honest work to date. The minimal production placed most of the attention on the rapper's slick wordplay, but upon first listen the standout was the tender closing track entitled "Ride" which had the MC freely displaying his heavy affection for an unnamed lass with some help from Mako & Vader.
Today Strange Friends has unveiled a new video for the single in collaboration with Disposable Camerman and directed by Jesse Soloman. The charming visual was shot entirely on Super 8 film, and features model Taylor Snook as Shango's love interest as they frolic around the Santa Monica pier.
